Oh man, I guess I got so excited about Funko Fridays today that I totally forgot to post my 6 on 6! I had my pictures all ready to go too but didn’t even think about it until about halfway through the day. Despite gold being my second favorite color, I don’t have a ton of gold stuff. I did manage to scrounge together six photos for today though, I hope you enjoy them!
Alright, so my dog isn’t exactly geeky, but he’s definitely golden=) This is Shadow, my fourteen-year-old Golden Retriever. He lives at my dad’s house about an hour away from me, so I don’t get to see him as often as I’d like. But this guy was my protector and best friend throughout my childhood and I always treasure my time with him (despite his smelly old dog breath, haha). Taking a decent picture of him was so difficult because he wouldn’t stop wiggling…he’s still a puppy at heart!
Of course I had to include my gorgeous Luna clutch from Sent From Mars! I absolutely adore the shiny gold details, and I figured she was perfect for this post. I also included my pretty gold Marc Jacobs clutch that my hubby bought a couple years ago for me…neither of these have gotten a ton of use because I’m afraid of getting them dirty or ruining them somehow, but I do love looking at them.
This copy of Hitchhiker’s Guide means a lot to me, because it’s the last book my little brother borrowed from me before he died. He never finished it, and I didn’t get it back from him until we were going through his belongings, so I still get a little emotional looking at it.
I wish I had thought to take a close-up of this watch since you can barely see what makes it so awesomely geeky! Instead of a second hand, it has a dial showing Sputnik orbiting Earth…how cool is that? This is a Russian watch from 1957, but it’s in amazing condition. My husband originally bought it for himself (he’s really into watches) but I liked it so much that I stole it form him=P
This little Zen Homer statue came from the September Loot Crate. The Simpsons are far from my favorite cartoon, but the hubster loves it so I at least appreciate this cutie. You can’t see it very well in the picture, but he’s sitting on a donut and holding a pretzel, ha!
So this isn’t super geeky either (aside from the geeky fella carving a pumpkin in the background), but I recently rekindled my love affair with hookah. It’s an AWFUL habit, I know, but it helps me de-stress every now and then. I managed to convince my husband that we needed this pretty pink and gold hookah with the frilly pink hose…not sure how I pulled that off, but I’m glad I did. So cute!
I can’t wait to catch up on all the other 6 on 6 posts from today! Looks like a lot of people participated this month, which is really awesome. If you still don’t know about 6 on 6, check out the original post by Emma of Scruffy-Little Nerd Herder right here!
